Spell working in harmony with the Moon.

The lunar spells that I do are very effective, these are gentle spell workings that call upon the moon for its huge power and benefits. The hours of darkness are my personal favourite and a lot of people who practice magic feel the same way. The phases of the moon rule such a lot including human emotions, fertility cycles and the tides, the power is awesome. The nature of this work is really nature worship, and witchcraft etc is quite often used inappropriately for what I do.

My spell workings that use the energies of the moon are ideal for many things, I can cast spells for love, reconciliation, soul mates, luck, business increase, as well as a whole host of other things, spells can be helpful in lots of unusual situations. I will not however undertake any revenge workings so please move on now if that’s what you are looking for. I should also point out that I do not guarantee magic, there are plenty that do and you may want to try your luck with them, but I was taught that we are asking favours form the Gods and the Goddess, not listing demands. This knowledge has always served me well, and I know from experience that guarantees on magic are as hard to give as a promise it will not rain tomorrow! I have an ethical view on magic and its capabilities and I have been very successful with my methods.

 The moon.

It takes 27.3 days for the moon to circle the earth, but due to the fact that the earth and the moon are spinning together at different speeds around the sun, it means it actually takes the moon 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes, and 28 seconds, to complete one orbit of the earth and this makes the period from new moon to new moon. The sun orbits the earth once every 365 and a bit days.  The way the orbits of the earth and the moon go make the difference with the amount of sunlight reflected off the moon, this is what gives us the changing shape from our perspective.  This is the illuminated part that we can see, we only ever see one side of her, this part reflects the Goddess and it is what we use in our magic.  The faces of the moon from a witchy point of view are, the new moon this is when the moon is new in the sky, and we can only see a sliver, the horns of the moon point to the left.  The new moon period lasts three days.  This is always a good time for the start of new projects, fresh starts a new beginnings.  The new moon is the start of the waxing phase.

The waxing moon is considered by some to start on the third day after the new moon, my personal perspective on this, as I was taught is that the new moon is the start of the waxing phase.  This waxing phase runs through to the full moon and it is the time for growth and the magic that involves increase and drawing good things towards us. 

The full moon is an important time for magical work but especially lunar magic.  Again the full moon period is thought to be three days, this is the day before, the day of the full moon, and the day after.  This is an excellent time for healing spells, as well as other drawing types of magic.

The waning moon is when the moon is decreasing in size.  This is a time for sending things away removing old habits and unwanted feelings.  The last three days when the moon is no longer visible in the sky is known as dark of the moon.  It is best not to perform magic at this time.
